Department of Economics is pleased to announce the visit of Professor Lars P. Hansen (University of Chicago), 2013 Nobel Prize Laureate in Economics. He will be here to attend the Festschrift Conference in honor of Joon Park, Professor of Economics, and Wisnewsky Professor of Human Studies: AiE Conference in honor of Joon Park: News & Events: Department of Economics: Indiana University Bloomington.
This international conference, to be held on September 29-30, 2023, will be featuring leading econometricians from around the world (from 13 countries). In addition to celebrating Professor Joon Park’s contribution to the economics profession, the conference will be an opportunity to take stock of the major area of economics methodology by discussing the Past, Present, and Future of Econometrics.

Professor Hansen will be on campus on Thursday, September 28, attend the conference on Friday, September 29, including a reception and conference dinner where he will deliver a keynote speech on the theme of the conference – Past, Present and Future of Econometrics.
