Mr. Thatcher, a native of Kokomo, Indiana, earned his B.A. in Economics in 1966. In honor of Professor Elmus Wicker, whose classes he appreciated as a student, Mr. Thatcher established the Elmus R. Wicker Professorship in Economics.
