Discussions on “The Past, Present, and Future of Econometrics”
Research papers are solicited around the theme of theoretical or applied econometric analysis relating to the work of Joon Y. Park for publication in a volume of Advances in Econometrics. Professor Park has blazed trails across many fields of econometrics, primarily but not limited to nonstationary time series, continuous-time models, and econometric models of energy consumption.
Selected papers will appear in the volume of Advances in Econometrics, to be published in 2021. The volume will be edited by Yoosoon Chang (Indiana University, yoosoon@indiana.edu), Sokbae “Simon” Lee (Columbia University, sl3841@columbia.edu), and J. Isaac “Zack” Miller (University of Missouri, millerjisaac@missouri.edu). Please email manuscripts to be considered for publication to any of the editors by January 31, 2021. All manuscripts will be subject to peer review.
The volume will consist of research contributions related to the work of Professor Park solicited by this call and summaries of the discussions from panels of leading econometricians on the theme “The Past, Present, and Future of Econometrics” organized for the Advances in Econometrics Conference in Honor of Professor Park. The conference will be held on September 24-25, 2021 at Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana. It was originally scheduled for April 10-11, 2020, but was postponed due to the global pandemic.
Advances in Econometrics is a research annual whose editorial policy is to publish original articles that contain enough detail so that nonexperts will find them accessible and useful in their work. Authors should be able to provide, upon request, data and code to facilitate replication of their results. For more information on Advances in Econometrics, please see http://faculty.smu.edu/millimet/AiE.html.
