Yinxi Xie joined Indiana University in Fall 2025. His research interests lie broadly in macroeconomics, with a particular focus on monetary and fiscal policy, financial intermediation, bounded rationality, and global supply chains. His work has been published in leading academic journals and featured in major media outlets. He has also served as a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, the International Monetary Fund, and the Asian Development Bank. Originally from China, Yinxi earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University and his B.A. in Economics and Finance from Tsinghua University.
