Ahmad Lashkaripour received his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in 2014. He also holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Economics from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. Ahmad’s research interests lie at the intersection of International Trade, Economic Development and Industrial Organization. His work seeks to explain why developing nations trade very differently from the developed. In his most recent work, he demonstrates the welfare improving effects of trade liberalization in the developing countries.
