Justin joined the Department of Economics at Indiana University in 2022. He studied at the University of Minnesota where he finished his Master’s in Public Policy in 2005 and his Ph.D. in Economics in 2012. He was an Assistant Professor at Kent State University prior to Indiana. He has taught several different courses throughout his career earning awards for teaching excellence along the way. Justin will teach introductory microeconomics, introductory macroeconomics, a labor economics course along with a master’s level macroeconomic theory course at Indiana. Most of his research publications focus on understanding the effects of involuntary job loss and how those effects vary.
