I am an undergraduate marketing major pursuing a career in marketing and social media. I want to develop my leadership skills through practical applications in the workplace and through my courses at the Kelley School of Business. This past summer I gained real marketing experience in real estate with Milhaus. I put social media strategies and design into practice while learning their specific branding process. Additionally, all of the interns presented a "Big Idea" to the executives at the the end of the program in which we used both primary and secondary research. In the summer of 2016, I was fortunate enough to earn a place in the Kelley Study Abroad Internship program in Singapore where I learned the inner workings of management consulting while simultaneously working in an unfamiliar, diverse workplace. People from many different backgrounds taught me how to present to a client and by the end of my internship I presented to my office my own research findings on the business environment of Thailand. Working at a law firm in the summer of 2015 gave me insight into the field of law and a higher level of critical thinking. I learned practical legal writing skills by revising pretrial documents. My involvement in various organizations at Indiana University have given me the skill sets and the drive to pursue my career interests. I plan to use these learned skills to pursue a career managing brands through social media campaigns.
