Macroeconomics Theory and Quantitative, Labor Economics

Professor Michaud is a Macroeconomist. Her primary research interest is in labor markets. In her research, she exploits variation in economic experiences of different individuals to better understand aggregate outcomes, such as unemployment rates. Her secondary research considers the role of housing policy in emerging and developed economies. Amanda is originally from Northern Maine. She earned her BA in Economics with minors in Mathematics and Arabic from the University of Rochester in 2007 and her MA and PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 2012. She joined Indiana University as an Assistant Professor in fall 2012.
